Membership

Our members are drawn from the parents and guardians in the Unbound Project and this forms the common bond and the staff of the Sacco. They are drawn from Timau, Nanyuki, Nakuru, Juja, Jujafarm, Kayole, Mathare, Kibera, Rongai, Kangemi, Ndeiya.

The Sacco was authorized in the year 2020 as a Non-Withdrawable Deposit Taking (NWDT) society. The SACCO restricts its membership to the common bond above but gradually admitting new categories who meet the requirements as set out in its by-laws. The SACCO is regulated by SASRA (Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority).

ADMISSION INTO MEMBERSHIP

An applicant shall be admitted to membership of the SACCO Society on application upon payment of an entrance fee of Kshs 200 and purchase of minimum shares as shall be fixed by the General meeting from time to time.

QUALIFICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP BY NATURAL PERSONS

A person who possesses the following qualifications shall be eligible for membership –

Is within the field of membership consisting of the following –

A member of a registered group under Unbound Kenya, Nairobi Project.
A Child headed youth above 18 years sponsored under Unbound Kenya, Nairobi project.
An elderly person sponsored under Unbound Kenya, Nairobi Project
An employee of Unbound Kenya, Nairobi Project
A nuclear family relative of (i) to (iv) above.

2. Has attained the age of 18 years;

3. Is of good character and sound mind; and

4.Pays the entrance fee and share capital as prescribed in these By-Laws.
